Finley Catering's suburban location, The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve, opened in the Fall of 2016, is a perfect complement to our center city locations. The Ballroom stands as our 4th historical landmark in a pastoral green setting. The grand Greek revival facility with its towering columns continues to honor the legacy of Charles Ellis, a local entrepreneur. Built in 1932, the Ballroom is conveniently located in Newtown Square, Delaware County with easy accessibility from Route 3 and 476. The Ballroom can host indoor or outdoor ceremony locations, patio space accessible during cocktail hour, and ability to host weddings up to 230 guests.

What is your typical process for working with a new client?

When a client fills out a contact form through our website, one of our Event Coordinators sets up a date and time to tour the venues of interest. We walk you through the space and go into full detail how your wedding or special event will be executed. We then discuss available dates, pricing and everything that is included in our event package. When the client decides to move forward with us, a contract is signed and first deposit is made. After that, the client works with their personal Event Coordinator during the duration of time while planning their wedding or special day.

I had excellent coordinators, maitre D, and bridal attendant the day of the wedding. Planning with them was easy and organized. They offer a variety of add ons to meet all your wants!! One big thing for me was a bridal suite with early entry, it was perfect for my bridal party and I. The grounds are stunning, but the inside is just as beautiful! I highly recommend this wedding venue."

PERFECT! That is the word to describe everything about The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve and Finley Catering!!! Our coordinator, Megan, was SO incredibly helpful and supportive with any questions we had. The staff on the day of our wedding were amazing and made any worry I had about the logistics completely go away - they made sure I focused on myself and enjoying every moment. The food - SO GOOD - every single guest told us hands down it was the best food they had at a wedding. Everything about our wedding day was perfect and a huge reason for that was picking the perfect venue.

5 stars isn’t even enough!! Tina was our coordinator and was so great and responsive throughout the entire planning process. We ended up using her for our florals as well which was another 5 star job!! Our Maitre’d, just like so many other reviews here mentioned, I can’t even begin to say enough good things. He was on top of quite literally everything throughout the entire day. I don’t think I worried about anything at all because he handled it all. The on site and very spacious bridal suite was a must have for me and the suite attendant was great! The food deserves a whole review in itself. All of our guests raved about the food and the fact that all of the entree’s came out hot! And the bartenders were absolutely awesome too!! We also received comments from guests about how great the bartenders were which i believe is such a rare compliment to get. The whole day was gorgeous and flawless and I can’t recommend the ballroom enough!!!
