It was a pleasure working with Elegant Events team for our wedding. The wedding went without a hitch (literally). This was quite a feat, especially considering the fact that my “thenfiancée-now-wife” and I were located in California and coordinating with Donielle for our Philly wedding (IIRC we only visited Philly twice to plan for our wedding). In addition, we had three different themes to work with for our Chinese, Indian, and Indian Chinese American fusion wedding. To this day, we still get comments from family and friends about how beautiful the venue was and how much fun they had at our wedding. Donielle was our quarterback – she managed the various food vendors, the decorations, the venues, photographers, the mandap guys, a bunch of guests, etc – and made planning a wedding while in a different time zone much easier than we expected. Donielle was extremely collaborative to work with, quick to incorporate feedback, and was super enthusiastic the entire time. We hired the Elegant Events team for our May wedding and we were so happy we did! We were somewhat late to hire a wedding planner, and we had a short engagement period. I had already selected the venue, dress, theme, etc so we decided to go with the simplest of the packages for our wedding planner needs…. and what a difference it made! While I (the bride) still did most of the planning leading up until the wedding day, it was so helpful to have Donielle’s expertise and advice, and honestly even just knowing we had her support (wedding planning is stressful!). We had a few meetings and phone calls, and many emails with her leading up to our day. She also came to our main vendor meetings and read over our contracts, and helped us stay on track with our timeline! I was also a part of two other weddings this past summer and I noticed the difference for our wedding, having such an awesome wedding planner, compared to other weddings (where I was a bridesmaid) who had less-involved planners. Donielle is fantastic and I cannot recommend her enough! On the day of (and rehearsal), we had Donielle and Geo to make sure everything ran smoothly. I distinctly remember a moment where I was stressed and getting ready before our first look, and the photographer had said someone needs to help put on my shoes, and Donielle immediately said, “I got it!” and proceeded to get down on the ground and started putting on my shoes. Donielle is so professional and yet she is not afraid to do anything that is needed to help the day run smoothly. I am so grateful for her and her team and will recommend her to any future friends getting married. As an added bonus she is also so lovely and pleasant to deal with and I will actually miss seeing her and talking with her!
