Mr. Belding Is Appearing at Harrah’s This Summer

It’s summer, so like many other Philadelphians I headed to the Jersey Shore this weekend. And one event I noticed while in Atlantic City made me say, “Hey hey hey, what is going on here?”

That’s right: Mr. Belding — aka Dennis Haskins, the actor best known for playing Mr. Belding in Saved by the Bell, Mr. Belding in Saved by the Bell: The New Class and Mr. Belding in the second version of Saved by the Bell: The New Class — will be hosting “Summer School with Mr. Belding”, an event at Harrah’s The Pool After Dark on July 10th.

This is not the first time Haskins has hosted an event at Harrah’s The Pool. Three years ago, he hosted an event called “School’s Out!” NJ.com interviewed him at the time (on the red carpet, because of course there is a red carpet for these things) and he talked about “SBTB, WWE Raw and Screech, Dustin Diamond.” Come to think of it, it’s amazing there wasn’t a professional wrestling-themed episode of SBTB.

Belding has made a nice post-Saved by the Bell career for himself by showing up to places where he’s still paid to be a (non-copyright infringing) version of Mr. Belding. He also hosted an event at Harrah’s in 2013. “The crowd in New Jersey is definitely different than any other crowd I get to meet and they are special,” he told Caesars blog. He also does several minor league baseball games a year, appearing at the Reading Phillies in 2010 and 2011.

The July event at Harrah’s is $10. — about $15 cheaper than buying the whole Saved by the Bell collection on DVD.
