Electronic music enthusiasts, this one's for you. Catch a full set by Fhloston Paradigm (the artist formerly known as King Britt) tonight, with sounds described as "a manifestation of afro futurist ideals, based in an electronic music landscape." I am not entirely sure what that means–but it sounds like a good time. There will also be a DJ set by Robotique, a spoken word performance from Rasheedah Phillips, and visuals courtesy of Mike Todd. Chris Pureka is a country-inflected folk singer, with soft, breathy vocals and influence drawn from Neil Young. While spending over 10 years touring, Pureka has "crisscrossed the states, sharing the stage with such artists as the Lumineers, Sera Cahoone, Y La Bamba, Martin Sexton and Ani DiFranco." He is luckily well past the days of frosted blonde hair and matching denim-on-denim outfits with Britney Spears–but a heartthrob, he remains. Justin Timberlake will make a stop in our 'hood this week, performing hits from his latest Grammy award-winning album, The 20/20 Experience. By now you should know the facts about JT: his voice is consistently on point, his songs are addicting, and his energetic performances are worth the splurge. Constantine V.–a.k.a. Dreamshow–is an artist, musician, and avid skateboarder born in Manhattan. Accompanied by other guitarists, his sound is influenced heavily by his passion for drumming, and his voice "distinctly punk, but with a fresh emotional range, most notably in the anxious stretches of strong pop melody." Abner Ramirez and Amanda Sudano Ramirez, the du0 known as Johnnyswim, have performed on The Today Show, at the 2013 Bonnaroo Festival, and 333 feet underground in Tennessee's Cumberland Caverns. Their sound, which conjures elements of rock, blues, boleros, folk, and contemporary R&B, was dubbed "infectious" by Vogue. Tall Tall Trees, otherwise known as Mike Savino, has released two records on his own start-up label, Good Neighbor Records. He's worth checking out for his wild banjo playing alone; an instrument he owns by bowing, drumming, and strumming, all coupled with various effects and loopers. Chase Rice is a country singer-songwriter born in North Carolina, known for cowriting the hit single "Cruise," performed by Florida Georgia Line. He released his full length album–Ignite the Night–gaining popularity and a solid following ever since. He also appears to have an affinity for sipping Jack Daniel's on stage, so his shows are pretty much a guaranteed feel-good time.
