Fox Passes On Tina Fey Cabot College Pilot
Variety reports that Fox has turned down a sitcom created by Tina Fey and 30 Rock alums Robert Carlock (producer) and Matt Hubbard (writer).
The comedy, Cabot College, concerns an all-girl college that begins to accept male students for the first time. According to Variety, the it received a series commitment from Fox, but failed to get the green light to move into production. It’s a damn shame. The premise sounds promising, as does the pilot’s cast, including Asif Ali, Margaret Cho, Jack Cutmore-Scott and Bonnie Dennison.
Don’t get too bummed out, though. Fey’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt debuts on NBC this fall, and she’ll star with Amy Poehler in the film comedy The Nest, which debuts December 18th.
