Another reason to love spending time down the Shore? Because your kids aren’t yet bored with these playgrounds. Here are five of the best.
Sunset Park
Harvey Cedars (Holly and Salem avenues)
There’s a cool wooden ship that kids obsess over; goodies like a fishing dock, a gazebo and bathrooms; and, as one devotee notes, “an ice-cream truck that comes basically on the hour.”
Shark Park
Brigantine (26th and Brigantine)
A beloved and sprawling go-to with tons of stuff to climb on, plus tire swings, rock walls, swings, shark bouncies and more.
Cape May Ferry Terminal Playground
Cape May (1200 Lincoln Boulevard)
This petite, under-the-radar play area is especially fun for the preschool set. It’s a parent favorite, too, thanks to a great deck, lovely scenery, and spots to grab a drink all around it. Bonus: mini-golf!

Sandcastle Park
Ocean City (34th and West)
The local hang boasts equipment for toddlers and bigger kids alike, adjacent basketball and tennis courts, loads of swings, a crazy-steep slide, a public bathroom, and even a couple of shade trees for parents fighting off sunstroke.
Dealy Field’s Play By the Bay
Sea Isle (63rd and Central)
The place is a Sea Isle point of pride, with tons of climbers, swings, slides, bridges, and a covered picnic area, too — not to mention Dealy’s many playing fields, street hockey court, skate park and walking path.
