Last-Minute Halloween Plans in Philly
Leave the candy on the front porch and go celebrate All Hallows’ Eve.
Actually Halloween @ Time
Bar/restaurant/music venue Time knows that most of the costumed shenanigans already happened over the weekend, but if you missed out or just want more, head here while it’s “Actually Halloween.” Clock Radio is hosting and the music will be from the ’80s.
Poltergeist and Halloween @ The Piazza at Schmidt’s Commons
Get spooked with a scary double-feature movie night at the Piazza. Poltergeist is being shown first, at 6 p.m., followed by the 1978 Halloween.
Freaky Tiki Halloween Party @ Martha
Martha is going tropical for Halloween with free rum from local distilleries Row House Spirits, New Liberty, and Bluebird, plus “tiki inspired snacks” (I’m not sure what that is but I’m picturing pineapple), and a tiki setting complete with a bocce beach lounge. If you’re not a rum drinker, make sure to wear a costume to get the beer specials.
Philly Rising @ World Café Live
Musicians, this is the open-mic “Halloween Edition & Costume Party Extravaganza” of Philly Rising. Come out and play a song or two for a chance to perform in the next showcase. Showcase winners get a prize package that’ll mean more exposure.
Hackoween @ Good Good Comedy Theatre
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Local comedians will turn themselves into very famous comedians, from Rodney Dangerfield to Wanda Sykes, at this Halloween show.
Halloween Costume Party @ Butcher Bar
The theme is movies at the new Butcher Bar’s Halloween bash. There will be drink specials for those in costume.
Halloween @ Bob and Barbara’s
Franco and the Detonators will be playing the blues at Bob and Barbara’s Halloween party.
A Halloween Celebration with Sun Ra Arkestra @ Johnny Brenda’s
Ars Nova Workshop brings us the eclectic Sun Ra Arkestra for an out-of-this-world Halloween night concert.
