Teresa Giudice is Getting Out of Prison Next Week
Teresa Giudice is getting out of prison on December 23rd, just in time to spend the holidays and New Year’s Eve with her family. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star entered the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut nearly 15 months ago. She was serving time after she and her husband Joe pleaded guilty to bankruptcy fraud in March of 2014.
Bravo network, the producer of RHONJ, writes that Giudice and family will spend the holidays with her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga‘s home, where she’ll enjoy one of her first meals as a free woman: The Feast of the Seven Fishes. “We’re gonna do all the fish. It should be fun,” Gorga says. “The kids are excited [for] a big Italian Christmas Eve. We’re gonna be all together … so it’s a beautiful thing.”
The merriment will be rather short lived, unfortunately. At the end of March, husband Joe will head to the Federal Correctional Institute in Fort Dix to serve his 41-month sentence. When the judge handed down his sentencing, he agreed to let the Giudices stagger their jail-time stays so there would always be someone home to take care of the kids.
In the meantime, Giudice is expected to release a memoir about her prison stay, Turning Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again, on February 9th. She reportedly signed a million-dollar contract to return to the next season of RHONJ, so we have that to look forward to, too.
