Some of Broadway’s Biggest Belters Coming to Mini Series at the Kimmel
Last week’s remarkable concert with Audra McDonald and Seth Rudetsky at the Merriam Theater caused the Kimmel Center folks to announce that two additional Tony Award-winning divas will be heading to town with Mr. Rudetsky this season. They’ll be joining the already announced Megan Hilty in a mini-series of Broadway ladies invading the city.
The fabulous Kelli O’Hara, fresh from her turn as Anna in Broadway’s The King and I, will be coming to Philadelphia on Friday, January 29th at 8 pm. Ms. O’Hara is also known for her roles in South Pacific, The Light in the Piazza, The Pajama Game, along with many other productions. She also recently made her operatic debut in The Met’s The Merry Widow, opposite Renee Fleming.
Also added to the season is the two-time Tony Award winning Sutton Foster, who will be bringing her signature styling to the City of Brotherly Love on Thursday, March 3rd at 8 pm. Ms. Foster is best known for her turns in Anything Goes, The Drowsy Chaperone, Throughly Modern Millie, and Violet. She’s also one of the stars of TV Land’s Younger.
Seth Rudetsky is a Broadway actor, writer, and comic. He’s Grammy- and Emmy-nominated, but he’s arguably best known for his Sirius XM radio program, On Broadway, where he interviews and dishes with Broadway’s hottest talent.
