PHOTOS: Mark Wahlberg Attends Screening of Invincible at Kimmel Center
The gossip mills were right on the money last night. Mark Wahlberg did show up on the red carpet for the screening of Eagles-inspired flick Invincible at the Kimmel Center. The film closed out the weeklong Festival of Families Film Festival hosted by Greater Philadelphia Film Office. Local paparazzo HughE Dillon got this great shot of him with former Eagle Vince Papale (left, whom Wahlberg portrays in the film) and comedian Michael Blackson.
According to HughE, Wahlberg and Papale went in to the Kimmel’s Perlman Theater to introduce the film. “Mark said it was the highest honor to be hosting the Meeting of Families Festival concert for the pope, as well as being back in Philadelphia seeing old friends and going to dinner at some of his favorite restaurants. In the past he’s been to Parc and D’Angelo’s in the Rittenhouse area,” HughE said.
The Festival of Families concert kicks off on the Parkway at 5:27, where there will be performances by Aretha Franklin, Andrea Bocelli, The Fray, comedian Jim Gaffigan and the Philadelphia Orchestra among others. More info here.
