Jenkintown-Inspired The Goldbergs Gets Hulu Deal
If you’re only just discovering The Goldbergs you’ll now have an easier way to go back and catch up on all the earlier episodes. If you’ve been following it all along, well, now it’s breezier than ever to watch it all over again.
The show, which was created by Jenkintown native Adam Goldberg, just inked a deal with Hulu that, starting today, makes all previous seasons available on the streaming service in both the limited and no-commercial formats. You will also be able to catch the five most-recent episodes from the current season.
The series is set in a very-Jenkintown-like place in the 1980s and revolves around 11-year-old Adam, a character based on the creator, and his nutty family. It’s rife with Philly-area references—they even reconstructed the Hiway Theater in the first season.
The show got a ratings boost when it moved to a new Wednesday time slot last fall, so expect to see it sticking around for a while. The third season debuted this week on ABC.
