MTV Holding Real World Auditions at Paddy Whacks Saturday
Calling all extroverts. MTV is hosting an open casting call at Paddy Whacks this Saturday to seek out Philly’s most diverse and dynamic wild cards to join the next season of Real World.
If you have a knack for getting under other people’s skin or are just an all-around drama queen/king, you may be the perfect candidate. “We look for characters from real life; people with strong personalities who are unafraid to speak their minds,” says Jonathan Murray, executive producer of Real World. The show has been a leading MTV series for over twenty years, casting only the most eccentric characters to live under one roof for months at a time. This season’s host city has yet to be announced.
If you think you have what it takes to be the next Real World star, drop by Paddy Whacks on Saturday August 1st from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. To audition, you must bring a recent picture of yourself (that will not be returned) and a form of photo I.D. Casting calls require that all candidates be at least 21. And sorry, no baby faces: Those auditioning must look between the ages 20 and 24.

More in to the reality-talent-show circuit? The fun continues the next day, Sunday August 2nd, when producers from American Idol will hit up the Liacouras Center to audition songbirds for the show’s 15th and final season. More info on that event—which starts bright and early at 7:30 am—here.
Two chances at your 15 minutes in one weekend!
