Bill Cosby’s Wife Says Women Consented to Drugs and Sex

A new report from the New York Post claims that Bill Cosby’s wife of 50 years, Camille, knows that her husband had multiple affairs, but she stands by him, saying he’s not a rapist and that his accusers consented to drugs and sex.

“Camille still doesn’t believe that Bill provided drugs and had sex with women without their consent,” said a source employed by the Cosby family. “She’s well aware of his cheating, but she doesn’t believe that her husband is a rapist.”

Mrs. Cosby is “a proud, dignified but stubborn woman. You can say that she’s standing by her husband, but really, the more people stand against him, the more she perceives it as an affront to her and all that she’s done to make him a star,” said another source who’s done business with the Cosbys and remains close to them.

The source told NYP that, at a gathering at the couple’s home in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, Mrs. Cosby told guests: “I created him, I knew what I was getting and we’ll fix this. … They are making him out to be such a bad guy, a monster.”

Mrs. Cosby’s statement comes in the same week it was revealed that Cosby admitted in 2005 to purchasing Quaaludes with the intent to give them to women he wanted to have sex with. Since then, his support system has been crumbling day by day. On Monday, former supporter Jill Scott proclaimed on Twitter that she was wrong to ever stand up for him; on Tuesday, Disney decided to remove a statue of Cosby at its Hollywood Studios theme park in Florida; Wednesday, news broke that he was dumped by his agent, leaving him without representation in Hollywood; and at the end of the week Mural Arts announced it would accelerate its plans to remove an inspirational Bill Cosby mural in North Philadelphia.
