Free Admission to The Franklin Institute
This Monday, The Franklin Institute is offering free admission all day long to celebrate the upcoming Independence Day holiday. It's a perfect time to check out all of the fun (especially now that school is out). Guests also have free access to the Fels Planetarium. This summer-long "creative play" event is great for families. It's also a wonderful way to introduce children to the world of art. Museum admission for kids under 13 is free to boot. All American Celebration at National Constitution Center
On Thursday, the National Constitution Center is offering all-day free family fun at the All American Celebration. Party Girl at the Roxy
Party Girl (not to be confused with the Parker Posey film of the same name) won the Caméra d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival last year, the award for best first feature film. It actually racked up awards all over Europe. It stars multiple members of co-director Samuel Theis's family, including his mother, Angélique Litzenburger, who plays herself.
