Hannibal Buress—a regular on Broad City and the comedian who ruined Bill Cosby’s life in a Philadelphia theater last fall—got news that Comedy Central has picked up eight episodes of his half-hour series Why? With Hannibal Buress. Deadline describes the premise, which sounds something like a late night talk show / variety show mix:
The project is believed to stem from a development deal Buress inked with Comedy Central in 2013, which included a pilot commitment, a one-hour stand-up special; a nationwide Comedy Central Live stand-up tour; and a role Broad City.
