M. Night Shyamalan PA-Shot Thriller Gets Release Date
Earlier this year—smack dab in the middle of a snowpocalypse—I reported on a low-budget thriller M. Night Shyamalan was shooting around his home in rural Pennsylvania. At the time, he was calling it Sundowning, but now, according to Deadspin, the film has been given a new title, The Visit, and gotten picked up by Universal Pictures.
Deadspin explains the premise: “The Visit concerns a brother and sister who are sent to their grandparents’ Pennsylvania farm for a weeklong trip. Once the children discover that the elderly couple is involved in something deeply disturbing, they see their chances of getting back home are growing smaller every day.”
If my earlier reports are true, the film will star Parks and Recreation semi-regular Kathryn Hahn as the mother of the aforementioned brother and sister. We’ll see it all play out when it hits screens on September 11, 2015.
