Tina Fey Reunited With the Mean Girls Cast and It’s Everything You Hoped It Would Be
This is not a drill: local funny lady Tina Fey has finally reunited with the cast of Mean Girls. Entertainment Weekly made our dreams come true, getting the Upper Darby native together with Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert, and Amanda Seyfried for a beautiful photo shoot and a lengthy interview.
Just in time for the film’s 10-year anniversary, the five stars dished on behind-the-scenes details and what it’s like to star in a cult classic.
So, who was the inspiration behind the most famous character to never get screen time? Fey said, “My older brother’s good friend is Glenn Coco. He’s a film editor in Los Angeles, and I imagine it’s a pain in the butt for him. Someone said to me you could buy a shirt at Target that says “You go, Glenn Coco!” That was unexpected.”
Unfortunately, Fey also confirmed she is not considering creating a sequel to the beloved film. “At the time we did want to start the conversation about the sequel, and for whatever reason I was like, ‘No!!! We shouldn’t do that!,'” she said; “Now I look back and I’m like, ‘Why?’ But now, no—it’s too late now.”
The stars did, however, take a guess at what their characters would have been up to this past October 3rd. Lohan said, “Cady’s with Oprah in Africa working at children’s schools with a family, teaching girls to be nice to each other.”
