Teresa Giudice to Serve Sentence at Orange Is the New Black Prison
Page Six reports that New Jersey housewife Teresa Giudice will serve her upcoming 15-month prison sentence in the same Danbury, Connecticut federal prison facility where Orange Is the New Black author Piper Kerman did her time. The prison is the setting for Kerman’s memoir that inspired the popular Netflix sitcom.
The prison was a second-best option for Giudice, who asked to be sent there after a judge denied her request to be sent to a halfway house.
She and her husband, Joe, are both doing time after pleading guilty to hiding assets from bankruptcy creditors and submitting fake applications to get $5 million in mortgage and construction loans.
