Yo La Tengo to Perform 30th Anniversary Show at The Trocadero
Hoboken trio Yo La Tengo is hitting the road for a mini-tour that celebrates the 30th anniversary of their very first show, which took place on December 2, 1984. The four-night tour kicks off at New York’s Town Hall on December 3rd, and culminates here at home, at The Trocadero Theatre on Saturday, December 6th.
Yo La Tengo, formed in 1984, consists of members Ira Kaplan, Georgia Hubley, and James McNew. Their latest album, Fade, was released last year, and was described as “the most direct, personal and cohesive album” of the band’s career.
This show will comprise some of that album, with hits spanning their 30 years in the business strewn in. Louisville rock trio, Antietam, will open the show.
Tickets ($22.50) for the concert go on sale tomorrow, September 12th, at noon. Set your alarms, and purchase them here.
