HughE Dillon: Bernie Robbins Anniversary Party

The Philadelphia jeweler celebrated 50 years in business with a party in Old City.

Bernie Robbins Jewelers celebrated its 50th anniversary last week at Reserve in Old City. Harvey and Maddy Rovinsky, owners of Bernie Robbins, celebrated the milestone with the Mummers (Aqua String Band), along with friends, family and longtime customers.

Below: Models Rachel Johnston, Danielle Audain, Ashley Frankle and Dawn Byrd socialized with the guests, showing off the latest Bernie Robbins collection. Guests were also charmed by Reserve chef Ken Deiner’s hors d’oeuvres, sliders and brick-oven pizza.

Below: Ben Cook and Beth Shak. Shak, as I’ve written before, is a big shoe fan, boasting that she has more than 1,200 pairs of designers heels, including 700 pairs of the famous red-soled Christian Louboutins. Last week, her former husband filed a lawsuit against her for a portion of her extensive shoe collection. The story has been on Good Morning America and in the New York Post, and even made its way across the pond to England.

Below: DJ Eddie Tully kept the toes tapping throughout the night, as friend Jerry Blavat stopped by to say hi. The duo just started to collaborate at Blavat’s Memories of Margate club on Fridays. Blavat still does his thing for a few hours; then Tully continues the dance party on the laid-back, casual, no-cover night. Sounds like my kinda place.

Below: Stephanie Ritter and Adam Judeh. You might know Adam as the GM from XIX restaurant, and he’s still there; he just likes to work the bar at Reserve for a creative, fun outlet.

Below: John Bolaris and Chase Lenfest. His Lenfest Media Group includes the Bounce network carried on Comcast. In July, Bounce TV will debut a reality show called House of Talentfeaturing the journey of local fashion guru Antoine Johnson.

Below: Arthur Kade and Ron Hansen. Have you met the new Kade? He has given up the crazy antics and gone legit with interviews with celebrities like Olivia Newton-John, Internet sensation Keenan Cahill, and Penn Jillette, on his website.

Below: Rick Ellis and Nicole Kramer get ready for photo-booth fun. It’s amazing how these devices have really taken off at parties.

Below: Andrew Volpetti, Hydrofarm, and Adrienne Ritchie, owner of Baked Sunless Tanning. Jen Utley was in the crowd of well-wishers; Bernie Robbins donated the grand prize for this year’s Utley All-Star Animals casino night (a $10,000 shopping spree at the store).

Below: Kristen Johanson, CBS 3, and Danny Cevallos, co-founder of Cevallos & Wong.

Below: Madeline Yellin, Jonathan Yellin, and Rosalyn Yellin. The Yellins tell me they are big fans of Bernie Robbins and are sporting some of their favorites from his store.

Below: Newlyweds Nicole Cashman (to husband Nigel Richards), and Lauren Colabelli (to husband John Colabelli) are seriously glowing, after their weddings earlier this month. Their wedding rings are from Bernie Robbins.
