PA Wine Land Is Very Event-ful
The best reason to visit a Pennsylvania winery is to taste their most-recent wine releases. But, if you plan ahead, you will find out there is more than wine to being enjoyed in PA Wine Land, especially now that we have left winter behind and are rolling into summer.
These special events may be offered by an individual winery, or they may be held by all members of a wine trail over the course of a weekend or extended period. Among the more popular events are musical concerts, recreational activities for the entire family, athletic events such as runs through the vines and yoga exercises and, of course, culinary events that pair local wines with local foods.
With the beautiful June weather upon us, here are some upcoming events to whet your winery-going appetites:
- Seven wineries are joining together to help sponsor the Wildcat Ridge Music and Wine Festival on June 7. It will be held at the Gratz Fairgrounds, one of dozens of musical offerings events taking place this summer in PA Wine Land.
- For those who love exercise and mediation, Franklin Hill Vineyards in Bangor will host “Yoga in the Vineyards” on June 8. After an hour of relaxing yoga, guests can further “wine down” with a glass of cool wine from the tasting bar.
