Everyone knows how impressive Longwood Gardens’ extravagant floral displays are, but every summer they up the ante and add a touch of splash and sparkle. Starting in May, watch as impressive illuminated fountains dance and vibrant fireworks soar over the floral sanctuary during their popular Fireworks & Fountains Shows. What better way to enjoy the warmer weather than to spend an evening outdoors watching a wondrous fireworks and fountains display flash and splash before your eyes?

Plus, each of the shows is tied to a musical theme, from ballet to movies and more. Here’s the lineup of spectacular shows you can look forward to all summer long. These shows sell out fast so snag your tickets soon!

Philly Proud & Patriotic

First up on the jam-packed schedule of seasonal showcases is To Philly, With Love on May 26th. Celebrating songs inspired and performed by native musicians, like “Come Rock Around the Clock,” “The Twist” and “Raise Your Glass,” this display is guaranteed to be a good time for the young and old alike. Following Philly’s tribute is a Star Spangled Spectacular right in time for Independence Day. On July 3rd, you’ll be wowed as well-known patriotic hits provide the backdrop for a dazzling display celebrating America.

Iconic Sounds

Whether you love Billy Joel and Elton John or prefer the mavens of Motown like Aretha Franklin and Gladys Knight, you’re destined to find a showstopper to love this summer. On July 20th, The Piano Men takes center stage as fireworks and fountains sway to classics like “Tiny Dancer” and “Uptown Girl.” Later on in the season, Longwood’s hosting a tribute to the Queens of Soul. On September 28th, stop by to celebrate the legendary ladies with a soulful and spirited tribute display.

Arts Inspired

Two of the splashy Fireworks & Fountains shows draw inspiration from the stage and the big screen. Tchaikovsky’s beautiful ballet Swan Lake is translated into a sky-high graceful rendition on August 10th.  A few weeks later, have the time of your life as you watch your favorite movie music selections provide the soundtrack for an energetic evening of fireworks and fountains. Dance the night away to favorites from The Greatest Showman, Footloose and Slumdog Millionaire at Night at the Movies II.
