If you haven’t made your way to 501 South Street to check out Dietz & Watson’s pop-up Delishop, what are you waiting for? The month of June is filled with fun, food-inspired events for the whole family.
In case you haven’t heard, Philly’s favorite food brand, Dietz & Watson, is celebrating its 80th anniversary on South Street in a big way with the opening of their summer-long pop-up shop, Delishop. Full of fun apparel and accessories (think, “Meat Sweats” sweatshirts, “Salami Mami” hoodies and a “Wooder” bottle!), events, surprise guests, and Instagram-worthy photo ops (like a built-in bodega, backyard area and murals from local artists Gloss Black and Kyle Earl), it’s the perfect place to hang out and beat the heat, all season long.
But there are plenty of other reasons to make your way to South Street this summer, like all of the exciting weekly and special events you have to look forward to below:
Rainbow Dogs
In honor of Pride, Dietz is dishing up some colorful and classic hotdogs wrapped in rainbow buns to the first 50 customers all weekend long, starting on Friday evening, June 7ththrough Sunday, the 9th. But that’s not all—the first 50 will also receive a free “I <3 Wieners” tank top and have a chance to meet Philly’s top Drag Queens, Mimi Imfurst, VinChelle, and others during guest appearances throughout the weekend.

Family Night
Every other Tuesday gather your group and stop by South Street for a family fun night filled with Philly’s favorite foods (mini pretzel dogs from Philly Pretzel Factory and water ice), a face painter and a magician.
Have a Pair
For the connoisseur crowd, there will be weekly meat and cheese tastings. Every other week, a local brewery, like Yards or Double Nickel, will be there from 5-6:30pm to offer beer pairings with the tastings. Wonder how your favorite brews would pair with Dietz meats? Now you’ll know and be prepped to build the ultimate appetizer spread for your next summer party.
