Rittenhouse Is Getting an Awesome New Gift and Floral Shop
It’s no secret that one of our favorite jewelry stores in the entire city is Egan Day, an airy jewel box of a shop that reveals an intensely curated selection of fine jewelry and objets d’art, all displayed in a minimal, gallery-like space where everything shines. Spin through here and you’ll want owner Kate Egan to help you curate your wardrobe, design your house, etc. Well, we’re getting one step further: Egan has spilled the beans to us about a soon-to-open second location, one that’s been two years in the making.
The scoop: Egan Day is opening a sister store in the Rittenhouse Hotel at the end of April, to be called Egan Day Rittenhouse. The space will be a floral atelier and gift shop, with seasonal items such as picnic baskets (which you can fill with LaCroix goodies), Pehr tabletop goods, women’s beachwear by Loup Charmant, ceramics by Teresa Chang and the sweetest children’s blankets, mobiles and toys by Fredericks and Mae. You can also expect some great candle and perfume lines in the mix, as well as a rotating roster of Taschen, Phaidon, and Assouline books for your shelves and coffee table.
In short: Get excited. Like, really excited.
