Clover Market: Winter Edition Happening This Weekend in Philly
It’s no secret that we love the Clover Market – how could we not? It combines all the greatest things our society has to offer: artisan goods handmade with love, hearty food truck delights, and flowing cocktails. Does a Saturday or Sunday get any better? We’ve got the scoop on the coolest vendors, food and booze, plus how to score first dibs on everything at this weekend’s market.
The Clover Market only happens a handful of times a year – usually in Chestnut Hill and Collingswood – so you know the products are good. This Saturday and Sunday, however, you won’t have to go far to find the area’s greatest curated selection of art, vintage, handmade goods and antiques. It’s taking place in Center City, and will have everything from cozy blanket scarves made from the wool of New Jersey-raised alpacas to mint and myrrh clay toothpaste for the all-natural obsessed in your life. About a third of the vendors switch out from Saturday to Sunday, giving you all the more reason to come both days.
A fleet of food trucks will be posted up outside, with Reanimator Coffee and Sweetbox stationed inside both days, for some much-needed refueling while you shop. (We’re dying to try the loaded specialty grilled cheeses at Say Cheese Philadelphia.)
If you want to be the first to get a look at what the market has to offer – or simply want to avoid the crowds and shop in peace – VIP tickets are your new best friend. For $20, you get access to the vendors an hour before the public, plus free food and drinks (!) and a custom tote bag. Your name will also be entered for a chance to win one of several tricked-out gift baskets stuffed with donations from vendors. VIP tickets are available for online purchase here. If you want in early, you have to act fast – Saturday’s VIP passes have already sold out!
The Details: This Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm at the 23rd Street Armory, 22 South 23rd Street, Penn Center. Admission is $5 cash at the door.
