This Weekend: The Furniture and Home Accessories Warehouse Sale of Your Dreams
Scratch your weekend plans to make room for this: Cella Luxuria is kicking off a four-day warehouse sale on Saturday morning. In short: You should be there. The home store – which has two locations (a cavernous Chestnut Street flagship, which skews more Restoration Hardware/industrial, and a South Street outpost, which houses modern, apartment-friendly pieces) – has taken over a 6,000-square-foot Northern Liberties warehouse to unload merchandise. If my recent visit to the South Street outpost is any indication, it’s shaping up to be the sale of the season. (Seriously, half of the shop’s second level was empty, as all furniture was already transferred to the warehouse.)
The warehouse sale is going down on the next four Saturdays (January 23, 30, February 6 and 13) from 10am to 4pm. You’ll find the big stuff (beds, sofas and dining tables) as well as smaller pieces (occasional chairs, desks, rugs and accessories), from makers including Calvin Klein Curation, Four Hands, Roberta Schillig and American Leather – all at up to 80 percent off. Customers can schedule deliveries, too, so buyer pickup won’t be an issue. And yes, they’ll accept credit cards.
A store rep tells me that the warehouse is “packed with furniture” from both stores as well as the company’s storage warehouse. So set your alarm and come armed with room measurements and coffee.
The Details: Rumsey Electric Building, 462 North 4th Street, Northern Liberties.
