I wonder what possessed the agent marketing this house for sale to describe it the way she did.
One senses the presence of spirits from the beyond in her marketing prose.

I can’t say they’ve taken up residence in this strikingly stylish contemporary townhouse on a secluded lane in Rittenhouse Square, but looking at the pictures, I’d say that it’s clear the owner got divine inspiration in outfitting this house for sale.
Or was it divine?

After all, look at the metal fireplace in the living room and the kitchen cabinets on the split-level main floor. The last time I looked, their color was not associated with the Presence Upstairs.

But on the other hand, you have the two decks and patio attached to the rear of this house. According to the agent, “the owner went thru Hell and back for years” getting those two oversized decks legalized, but the view from them is heavenly. Especially the view from the deck off the top-floor master bedroom, which includes both the Center City skyline and the stained-glass windows of the church next door.

Then there’s the skylit master bathroom, a vision in green and white mosaic tile. Certainly whoever came up with this design must have been touched by an angel.
The one-car garage on the street floor will certainly strike some potential buyers as the answer to their prayers. Others will no doubt give thanks for the abundance of fine dining, shopping and arts and culture options within walking distance.
But what might ultimately tip the scales in favor of one side in this argument between good and evil is this house’s sale price. I wonder who might have possibly led the owner and agent to agree that this price was right. Could it be…?
