King of Prussia, Willow Grove, Radnor Township Top 10 Best Cities in PA
Movoto Real Estate released its list of 10 Best Cities in Pennsylvania today, and Eastern PA — and this area in particular — does quite nicely, thank you. In addition to looking at amenities, the other criteria — crime, high school graduation rate, median income, cost of living, and home value — were measured against state averages.
Here are the towns in our neck of the woods that make the grade and an explanation of why they did so:
• King of Prussia: Crime rate is 59 percent lower than state average. Median household income is 45 percent higher. (The mall is also mentioned.)
• Willow Grove: Crime rate is 59 percent lower than state average. Home values are 73 percent higher.
• Radnor Township: Median household income is 91 percent higher than state average. Home values are 283 percent higher.
• Phoenixville: Median household income is 23 percent higher than state average. Home values are 42 percent higher.
• West Chester: Median house value is 102 percent higher than state average. High school graduation rate is 26 percent above average.
• Drexel Hill: Median household income is 33 percent higher than state average. High school graduation rate 9 percent higher.
