The Haverford School

Grade Level: Preschool, Elementary, Middle School, High School/College Prep School

About

The Haverford School uses a best-for-boys approach to help identify and fuel every boy's passion. At Haverford, boys’ innate competitiveness, energy, and sense of humor are welcomed and encouraged.
We blend boys’ natural exuberance with a research-backed curriculum to develop the full academic, artistic, athletic, and moral potential of every student.
Starting in pre-kindergarten, students study the School’s guiding virtues — including empathy, respect, courage, and more — in age-appropriate experiences and discussions.
The result is boys learning and growing in every division, both in the classroom and out. For example:
- More than 3/4 of Haverford fifth graders test above the 75th percentile in reading and math, as compared to national norms.
- Every Middle School student learns core executive functioning skills like organization, self-regulation, and motivation, vital to developing their own sense of responsibility and accountability before high school.
- In Upper School, Haverford’s graduating seniors overwhelmingly have their choice of college or university; 92% of the Class of 2024 was accepted to one of their top three college choices.
