Padua Academy is a Catholic, college preparatory, secondary school for girls located in Wilmington, Delaware. Founded in 1954, Padua Academy is celebrating 69 years of transforming lives through learning, delivering an educational experience rooted in faith. Padua's school motto, "Suaviter sed Fortiter," translates as "Softly, but Strongly" and describes the qualities of an educated woman: nurturing and responsive to the uniqueness of others, yet purposeful and determined, accepting a responsible role in the global community. At the heart of Padua's education are our four pillars: spirituality, scholarship, service and sisterhood.
Padua is a community in which students can make their mark and open a world of possibilities with over 50 clubs and activities, from service, to academic, to just plain fun. Student Leadership Programs exist to promote individual growth and to serve the greater community. Padua has 80+ State Athletic Championships won, making us the winningest female program in Delaware.
