Church Farm School

About

Every young man at Church Farm School is chosen for his potential to grow as an impactful leader. Our community is very diverse, with students coming from across the country and around the world. Students gain the type of cultural competence needed to be successful adults; our young men bring the world to Church Farm School. Central to Church Farm School is the boarding experience, although we also welcome day students into our community. Our residential character extends far beyond our 10 cottages and 150-acre campus. It influences every aspect of life here, fostering common experiences in our dorms, on our athletic fields and in our chapel services. Our teachers reside with their families on or near campus, and participate fully in the life of the school—and the lives of our young men.

The school’s 75 exceptional faculty and staff members guide scholars through a rigorous curriculum that fosters outstanding academic development, with a strong focus on STEM and ethical leadership. Students also experience a full program of athletic, artistic and spiritual activities that create a caring, close community. Church Farm School engages its students through a curriculum that accentuates academic excellence, values and character and service leadership. Our class size averages 10 students, with a student-to-faculty ratio of five-to-one.

Church Farm School students are accepted into the nation's leading colleges and universities, including Cornell, Penn, Drexel, Williams and Brown.

What is your teaching or educational philosophy?

At the heart of the Church Farm School experience is our challenging and rigorous academic program that promotes a love of learning and fosters the desire to explore intellectually. In complement to our core curriculum, we offer honors and advanced placement offerings, as well as a multitude of academic support resources to make you as successful in your academic endeavors as possible.

We aim to educate the whole person at Church Farm School, and we believe our academic program, coupled with our top-notch athletic offerings, community service program and varied student activities and clubs, provide a unique and engaging “work-life” balance that is what our students will find in the real world. We also know that boys learn in unique ways, and endeavor to create hands-on, movement-focused curricula wherever possible.
