This Hunter Green Jersey Shore Wedding Radiates Seaside Glam
The couples’ dog even donned a green velvet tux to match the groom.
March has arrived, which means in a few short months, Philadelphians will be gearing up to flock down the Jersey Shore for the late spring and summer. Get yourself in the seaside spirit with this gorgeous hunter green wedding at Bonnet Island Estate. Photographed by Magdalena Studios, the celebration is a fabulous example of a Jersey Shore wedding done right.
Carly Lundstrom and Sean Furman knew each other as family friends before their relationship ever turned romantic. But as many college kids do, one summer Carly sought out a part-time gig from Sean, who worked at a country club in town. He helped her get a job as a hostess, then took her out on their first date.
Long into their relationship, Sean came down with pneumonia that left him hospitalized for three days and potentially facing major surgery. Luckily, he was able to recover surgery-free, but his time in the hospital “made us love deeper, care more and lean on each other,” Carly says. As soon as Sean got out of the hospital, he was ready to ask Carly to be his wife.
And so on a relaxing evening at home with both of their parents — and their “crazy” husky — Sean proposed. “When life happens,” Carly says, “we know we are each other’s people.”
Carly and Sean decided to wed at Bonnet Island Estate most notably because of Bonnet’s boathouse chapel. “I wanted a place that valued the ceremony just as much as the reception,” the bride shares. The chapel is filled with white-washed pews, a fireplace and barn doors.
Carly, who opts for nudes over most other colors, fell in love with hunter green during the wedding-planning process and trusted House of Catherine to utilize the color during the Big Day. Other shades — taupe, mauve and sage — were also incorporated.
Fun details from the celebration included three different Beyonce songs (the first played when the bridesmaids walked down the aisle, the second when Carly walked down the aisle, and the third during the couple’s first dance) as well as the couple’s husky acting as the ring bearer. He even had his own hunter green tuxedo.
