Stefani Burket is a professional licensed cosmetologist specializing in on-location editorial, and bridal hair and makeup styling. She’s known for her boho braids and naturally elevated makeup. We love her preference for using vegan and cruelty-free products, as well as her work to spread positivity through her career; in fact, Burket says she has pulled back on social media because “there is a great deal of toxicity on the platform, and we want to keep our business focus on helping people feel confident on their best day.” Burket is booking for 2022 and beyond. The on-location luxury bridal beauty company specializes in standard or airbrush makeup, hair, extensions, lengha and sari draping for South Asian couples and seeks to achieve a look that’s personal to you. CEO and founder Barbie Arrunategui and her team of artists (who live all over the tri-state area) help you create a soft glam aesthetic, with attention to skin tone, hair and eye color, and skin condition. Marcia V. Williams has been a licensed hair and makeup artist for 25 years and has worked with celebs and on-air TV personalities. In 2010, she launched her on-location business for men and women in the tri-state area, providing Big Day looks fitting of your personal taste. A perk: Her beauty line features liquid lipsticks and glosses that are vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free and paraben-free, and she recently launched a new magnetic lash line, featuring 100 percent synthetic products that are bionic and vegan. It might have an unassuming exterior — above a Pretzel Factory, no less — but inside, House of Clarity is a manse of beauty expertise. The team of artists and stylists offers full hair and makeup services, hair extensions, and tanning. Then there’s the bridal and wedding-party options, available in the salon or via travel. Jazmin Rae & Co. is a by-appointment-only salon and spa providing wedding hair and makeup, customized facial plans for brides, spray tanning, lash enhancements, and Botox and fillers. The award-winning group takes a less-is-more mentality, working with clients to highlight their natural qualities. Services include airbrush makeup, men’s grooming, tattoo cover-ups and wedding-day touchups as well as on-location offerings. (There is also a private bridal suite in the studio.) Clean and timeless wedding looks with an editorial vibe come courtesy of ONLO creative director Diana DuHaime and her hand-picked staff. DuHaime, who was a lead artist for BHLDN at the 2018 New York Bridal Fashion Week and has worked with clients such as Samsung, Target, Planet Fitness and David’s Bridal, is a hair stylist, makeup artist and licensed cosmetologist. Owner Allison McAllister got married in the middle of a rare October snowstorm. The frenetic day drove her to start a biz that offers a calm, fun morning of easy-breezy hair and makeup prep, even when something unexpected comes your way. With Something You, clients are always given a morning timeline and beauty schedule for the wedding. A full range of brow, lash and body-waxing services are offered in studio (and clients receive special pricing at the salon), though on-location options are available with travel included within 25 miles of Wayne. All makeup applications include traditional or airbrush foundation and false lashes. True Beauty Marks

The on-location True Beauty Marks is run by owner Gina Kay and her team of professional hair and makeup artists. Kay, who graduated from the Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles, has worked with artists, photographers and experts around the world. TBM is known for its romantic and boho styles. Bridal services are offered a la carte but split into two packages: The premium services feature Kay and all high-end, cruelty-free products. The other is with a lead artist, chosen based on mutual compatibility on your vision and desired experience. Victoria Roggio Beauty

Industry veteran Victoria Roggio opened her namesake boutique spa in Old City in May, complete with three rooms for body and face treatments and a host of brow, bridal hair and makeup and nail services. (She calls it a one-stop shop for all of your beauty needs.) Expect a large menu of facials, massages and wraps — including a head-to-toe bridal prep complete with a body exfoliation, a hand massage, and a deep-hydrating treatment with Biologique Recherche. Otherwise, the signature Bridal Ritual features two hours of makeup consultation prior to the wedding with Roggio as well as a beauty box with curated skincare products (cleanser, eye cream and more). Hair and makeup trials take place at the studio or on location — pro photos are snapped at the end so you know your final look ahead of time. Roggio trains all of her artists, who use luxury skin, makeup and hair products. Award-winning makeup artist Beke (pronounced like Becky) Beau began her career serving as an assistant to Laura Geller and went on to work on a number of high-profile weddings in NYC, including that of Catherine Zeta-Jones and pop star Joey McIntyre. The industry pro, who also holds a master’s degree from Harvard University and is the founder of Paint School of Makeup, is an advocate for minimalism, making fewer but smarter purchases by sticking to “workhorse” products, and is known for her transformational one-on-one makeup lessons. Glam by Sharan

Fishtown; serving Philadelphia and surrounding counties and South Jersey

Sharandy Osei-Tutu booked her first wedding for a friend’s family member back in 2017. Today, she has had clients from different states travel to Philly for her expertise — she once had a bride from the U.K. Packages are available for the bride, bridesmaids and family members. Osei-Tutu accommodates touch-ups if the client needs her to stay on site for a longer period. Bridal makeup $175; $150 for all other members of the party.

JKo Beauty

Before starting JKo Beauty in 2016, Jennifer Kochenour worked as a freelance makeup artists for more than 20 years. The licensed cosmetologist has helped more than 1,000 clients of all different skin types, races, ages and styles. While she recommends a classic and timeless yet modern and stylish look for her clients, she will work with you to achieve your desired style for your Big Day. Formerly LashBee, the Center City location was recently acquired by Beaudee owners and Philly natives David and Deanna Ngo, who established their business in 2016 and also operate locations in Northeast Philly and Newtown. Beaudee provides lash extensions (so you can cry happy tears without fear of raccoon eyes) in a range of styles, such as classic, high-volume or natural. Lifts and tints, brow shaping and threading, and waxing are also available. As for makeup? Bridal makeup trials and services take place at this location; artists can also come to you on your Big Day. The technicians are fully trained, licensed and certified. Robin Lynette — formerly of TopFlight Studio — has started her own venture focusing on putting your freshest fast forward. She’s worked in the industry for more than 11 years, and has done two weddings for Eagles players — Rodney and Erika McLeod, and Brandon and Carlyne Graham. (Not to mention South Philly yogi Adriana Adelé Akintobi and hubby Shane Christopher O’Halloran, shown above.) Lynette offers trials, in-studio makeup, intimate bridal party options, waxing and facials — like a CBD iteration that can soothe anxiety and your skin. This is a pro who wants clients to feel beautiful, glamorous and, most importantly, like themselves. It’s a skill he’s honed since beginning his career in 2010, training with brands like Giorgio Armani and working with clients such as the New York City Ballet’s ballerinas. He has an eye for color and texture but ultimately strives for comfort and elegance. Want to look your best for a summer fete? Philly native Jacen Bowman is driven by the idea that makeup is a personality, and inside of it many shades exist. He has worked with a host of notable clients, from Hillary Clinton to Pascale Armand. He is a beauty contributor for Fox 29’s Good Day Philadelphia, an editor for several online publications and has worked with designers such as Dior. He brings his artistic aesthetic to every client, though he ultimately wants his brides and grooms to look and feel comfortable in their own skin. The self-taught, Philly-born Sheena Bloomfield provides on-location luxury makeup to multicultural brides, and offers trials out of Ruth Elena Salon in Bryn Mawr. Since starting her eponymous business about five years ago, she has earned industry notice — she was spotlighted on BET.com — and built a notable client list. Day-of and on-location packages could feature lashes for all having their makeup done (including the wedding party) and male grooming, depending on her clients’ needs. Owner Kristyn Kennedy cut her teeth working for Henri Bendel in NYC, then brought her skills back to Pennsylvania. With Shimmer and Spice, which shares a warehouse studio with Clover Event Co., Haley Richter Photography and RAM Floral, the makeup artist and her team take a natural-glam approach to beauty. They work with clients to understand their personal style and wedding-day ambience to achieve a look that accentuates their features. YMK Aesthetics blends creative directing and makeup artistry under the experienced eye of Yumi Kim, who cites her childhood love of drawing as one of the reasons she went into the industry. The independent artist and medical esthetician specializes in Asian beauty, but she works with all clients to achieve their vision. In addition to wedding makeup, she also offers keratin lash lifts and tints, eyelash extensions and dermaplaning, along with treatments like BB Glow, LED light therapy, microdermabrasion and facials. Ariel Katrina Hair

Ariel Young studied at the Paul Mitchell School and trained with Martin Parsons and Heather Chapman. With Ariel Katrina Hair, which Young began in 2012, she says she’s able to do what she loves most — connect with her clients and make them feel gorgeous on their wedding days. The on-location hair guru (who provides trial runs in her studio) and her stylists are skilled at everything from intricate braids to retro waves, and keep up on education and the latest looks. The first question Rosa Martinez asks her wedding clients is: “What are you most comfortable with?” From there, she works with you to figure out what style will preserve that sense of ease, while also complementing your makeup, attire and accessories. As a former student at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and Moore College of Art, Martinez took her passion for painting and transitioned it into hair artistry. She and her team work together to help bring your vision to life, immersing themselves in all the little details of the day, from curl length to hairspray brand. Philly’s Artur Kirsh and New York’s Joel Warren late last year opened The Salon Project at Saks Fifth Avenue, offering luxury hair styling for you and your wedding party both in studio and on location. Kirsh specializes in coloring and dry cutting, and has worked with celebs like Celine Dion and Nicole Miller. Warren’s clientele? Sarah Jessica Parker and Zoe Kravitz, among others.
