Tyler Arboretum has always been a beautiful wedding venue for couples who want nature to play a role in the décor for their Big Day—with its rolling meadows, majestic trees and colorful fields of wildflowers, the lush property is an ideal setting for your “I do’s” no matter the time of year.

And it’s about to get even better: The arboretum, along with its exclusive caterer Jeffrey A. Miller Catering, just announced a massive renovation plan for it’s historic, 19th century barn.

The 182-year-old barn is already rustic, charming and quite lovely for a wedding reception, and the new upgrades will only further enhance the space. Here’s what’s in store: The existing third floor will be expanded to include a bar area and restrooms, and a new mezzanine level (overlooking the third floor) will provide additional room for guests to mingle. Exterior enhancements and fresh landscaping will be done as well. All in all, the barn will now be able to accommodate parties of up to 210 people—previously the capacity was 150.

The project is slated for completion in May, so we’ll follow up in the springtime to give you an update on how it’s looking.
