George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin Have Arrived In Venice and Are Ready to Get Married!
Cross your fingers that we’re back here posting some fun details on Monday, brides, because apparently, Mr. George Clooney and Ms. Amal Alamuddin are tying the knot this weekend!
I mean, George here is probably one of the more paparazzi-averse stars out there, and they don’t really strike me as the sell-our-pictures-to-magazines kind of people, but hey, I was surprised by Brad and Angie, so I guess you never know—maybe we’ll see the dress.
As of today, the couple has arrived in Venice (see above!)—where all the walkways accessing the Cavalli Palace have been shutdown, per police request—and where they will be tying the aforementioned knot. According to E! News, they’ll have the usual wedding shindig on Saturday—a symbolic ceremony and the party and the whole shebang—but they won’t be legally wed until Monday, when they can actually go and do the civil ceremony and make it all officially official.
Given that this is a celebration where the groom will undoubtedly rival the bride in wedding-regalia gloriousness, it would be really nice to see some pics, I think we can all agree. Let’s have a group finger-cross and meet back here on Monday.
