Guess what, everyone? Today is t-minus one week until the spring/summer 2014 issue of Philadelphia Wedding can be in your hot little hands! It’s coming to a newsstand near you on Monday, December 9th. And what’s inside this one, you ask? Well …

At First Blush We’ve seen them on runways, we’ve seen them gracing the covers of lookbooks, we’ve seen them in more and more bridal salons and on more and more real brides—and so this issue, when it came time to put together our fashion story, we knew that pretty, feminine, so-bridal blush-colored dresses had to be the star of the show. And we shot this story in the most gorgeous spot ever: amidst the lavender fields at Carousel Farm in Bucks County. We hope you love our picks—there’s one by Anne Barge right there on the cover!—as much as we do.

Sweets & Treats There are so many beautiful, usable, charming little wedding favors right here in Philly, we wanted to showcase some of them alongside a few gorg wedding cakes that would inspire ideas for your own Big Day confection. So we chose five awesome local favors, and asked five awesome local bakers to each design a cake in the same color palette as one of the favors. We couldn’t be more blown away by the results, and think you’ll feel the same.

The Philadelphia Bride’s Guide to Lingerie Boutiques Because we were willing to guess that a lot of the lovely ladies getting hitched right now in Philadelphia a) haven’t exactly purchased heaps and heaps of fancy and/or specialty lingerie before, and b) might like to, now that they’ve got a gown to look fabulous in and a honeymoon coming up, we rounded up some of the most fab lingerie shops in the area, and will tell you what to look for there, who to talk to, and how to find the pieces that will look best on you. Happy shopping.

The Best Apps for Wedding Planning From smartphone apps that keep your guests in the loop with wedding-weekend plans to ones that help you register and gather everyone’s photos into one spot, we cover the dozen most helpful for getting this thing planned.

Take Two Our writer tells us about her joyful wedding in Stone Harbor this past summer … in which she remarried her ex-husband … on the 25th anniversary of their first wedding. Yep. It’s a good one. Check out the back page when you grab an issue—you’ll love it.

We can’t wait to share it with you!
