We’re Loving Philadelphia Artist Beth Beverly’s Unique (Taxidermy!) Bridal Headpieces
Philadelphia artist Beth Beverly’s unique, stunning and admittedly eccentric taxidermy headpieces are gracing the heads of more and more bold Philly brides who aren’t interested in looking like any other girls who’ve walked down the aisle before them.
Bevely, a Tyler School of Art graduate who’s always had a fascination with adorning the head, loves the ritual of weddings—the idea of wearing a very special piece only once. She sources her materials—everything from powder pink crinoline, French fabrics, faux pearls and veils to the fur and feathers of various animals—from vintage collections and Philly’s Italian Market.
You can choose one of her ready-made pieces, such as this Blue Puff Quail Fasinator, with a vintage base, light blue ostrich feathers, antique French veiling and fabric and a jeweled quail head—or give her three to four months to create something designed just for you. $310; diamondtoothtaxidermy.com.
