The Best Thing That Happened This Week: Parents, Rejoice! A Beer Hall … With a Playground
Be careful on the pirate ship with that pilsner.
In general, we have to tell you, things were better in the old days. The grass was greener, the birds sang more sweetly, and the world turned more slowly. People didn’t spend their lives staring down at cellphones. The president wasn’t insane.
Then again, on Thursday, Craft Hall had its soft opening in Northern Liberties. FCM Hospitality’s new baby has a brewery, a bakery, a “counter-service eatery” (see what we mean about the old days? We just called them “cafeterias”), two bars and a music stage, all set in 35,000 square feet of indoor space.
But. But. DO YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE IS THERE?
A playground. WITH A PIRATE SHIP AND SLIDING BOARDS. A playground meant for both adults and kids. Which suddenly makes those endless Sunday afternoons with your little ones a lot more appealing, come rain or come shine.
You know, these days—they’re not so bad.
