You Can Get Free Snow Cones (and 7-Eleven Slurpees!) on Wednesday
Here’s how you can grab an icy treat to get you through a mid-week slump.

Anyone looking to cool off in these hot summer temperatures can score not one, but two icy freebies on Wednesday.
First up: Slurpees. It’s 7-Eleven Day — the day that 7-Eleven celebrates its birthday — and that means the company is giving out free Slurpees all day.
Stores across the U.S. are expected to hand out 9 million free small Slurpees between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Get yours while supplies last. Here’s a map of all the 7-Eleven locations in Philadelphia.

If you grab your Slurpee and you still want more, stop by City Hall between 5 and 7 p.m. In that two-hour window, you can get a free snow cone courtesy of Center City District’s SIPS and Lyft, which partners with CCD for the weekly happy hour.

SIPS runs from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays at various locations throughout the city, but you can only get snow cones at Dilworth Park, so we recommend going there. You can also cash in on $6 Hornitos and Effen Vodka cocktails, $5 wine and $4 Michelob Ultra and Bud Light — in addition to your free snow cone. Plus, DJ will also spin records between 5 and 8:30 p.m.
