Man Stabbed Inside Center City Wawa on Thursday Morning

A man was stabbed in the chest inside a Center City Wawa on Thursday morning.
The incident occurred around 6 a.m. at the Wawa on the intersection of Broad and Walnut streets.
The victim, a 27-year-old man, was transported to Jefferson University Hospital in stable condition.
Police said a verbal argument that began outside the Wawa escalated into a physical fight inside the building. It’s not clear what the man was stabbed with.
Officials are searching for one male suspect who fled the scene on foot. No word yet on a potential motive.
The incident is under investigation. Business has resumed as usual at the Wawa.
