WATCH: Man Carjacked in West Philly

Police are looking for five suspects, one of whom can be seen hitting the victim with what appears to be a gun.

Police are searching for five suspects wanted in connection to a carjacking in West Philly last Friday.

Officials say the incident occurred around 11 p.m. on October 20th at the Lukoil Gas Station located at 5748 Baltimore Avenue, when the victim, a 56-year-old male, was delivering pizza to the station. After making the delivery and returning to his vehicle, he was approached by an unknown male who pulled a gun from his waist band and pointed it at the victim, who attempted to continue walking toward the car. The suspect then quickly approached the victim from behind and struck him with the gun, knocking him unconscious.

A second suspect then entered the victim’s car, a Chevy Prism, and drove off. That suspect was last seen heading east on the 5700 block of Baltimore Avenue, police say. The first suspect then returned to the victim and searched through his pockets before fleeing east on Baltimore Avenue.

The victim, who has not been identified, sustained severe head injures, according to police. He was transported to Presbyterian Hospital, where he remained unconscious until Monday.

Officials released surveillance footage of the incident on Wednesday morning. The video reveals a group of five black males ranging in age from 14 to 25 years old. The first suspect is seen wearing dark pants and a black sweatshirt with gray sleeves and a gray hood. The second suspect is pictured wearing black pants and a dark jacket with a hood.
