Police Investigating Baby Found in Trash Bag in Rhawnhurst
Officials say the newborn died on Wednesday, the day it was delivered.
Philly police are investigating after a baby was found dead in a trash bag on Sunday in a Rhawnhurst home.
Police said they received a report shortly after 4:30 p.m. of a stillborn baby in the 7800 block of Summerdale Avenue. Officials reportedly found the baby in the kitchen. The newborn is presumed to have died on Wednesday, when it was delivered, according to police.
A cause of death has not been released. No arrest has been made.
The investigation is ongoing.
