Get Your Slice of Wawa’s 6-Ton Hoagie Giveaway Today
It’s that time of year again.
On this blessed day, Philly will see what is quite possibly the most anticipated part of the six-day, fireworks-filled festival that is Wawa Welcome America: the 25th annual Wawa Hoagie Day.
Wawa employees will join Philadelphia firefighters, police officers and members of the United Services Organization to build and serve six tons of hoagies at Independence Mall. It’s all part of a hoagie-building contest for charity (if you needed another excuse to participate).
Swing by the Mall between noon and 2 p.m. to grab your free hoagie. But be warned – lines are usually long. It’s probably best to go early. (And it’s worth it).
While you’re at it, stop by the Constitution Center! Admission is free today as part of the festival, which will feature more than 50 events through July 4th.
