Prepare for Torrential Downpours Today
Expect a gloomy start to the workweek, Philly: we’re in for lots of rain today.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for the area, beginning at noon and lasting until midnight.
Forecasters predict isolated showers between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., when heavier storms are expected to roll through. The NWS says some storms could be severe, with large hail, damaging winds and heavy rain.
Storms are expected to subside around 1 a.m. Tuesday. Most nearby regions will likely see between two and three inches of rain accumulation through tonight.

The temperature is expected to reach a muggy 89 degrees Fahrenheit today. The low tonight will likely hover around 70 degrees.
