La Salle Shot The Lights Out Last Night (Literally)
La Salle’s basketball team didn’t have a great season. The Explorers won fewer than 10 games. At one point this season, they had a 1-17 stretch. They finished last in the Atlantic 10. They even lost to Drexel, which fired its coach this week.
But last night La Salle extended its season a bit with an 88-73 win over Duquesne. “It’s March Madness,” Jordan Price said pregame. “It’s basically like a miracle month. Anything can happen.”
Price scored 36 points, one from a career high, in the win over Duquesne. He shot 13 for 27 from the field, including five threes.
Besides Price’s big game, there was one other notable event in La Salle’s big win: The lights went out.
