WATCH: Mo’ne Davis Plays With Harlem Globetrotters
The Harlem Globetrotters come to Philadelphia every March, and they always try to mix it up for the Philly crowd. Two years ago, the Globetrotters played against the Flyers’ Claude Giroux and Wayne Simmonds (as well as with Bensalem High School grad Kevin Grow).
Last year, the Globetrotters drafted Mo’ne Davis, just the third woman to be drafted by the team in its history. The ’Trotters draft sports celebrities every year, but it’s usually a prank. Only yesterday Mo’ne Davis actually played for the team.
Let’s hope she keeps her college eligibility!
Davis played part of the third quarter for the Globetrotters yesterday in Philly, scoring five points (3 of them coming on free throws). The Globetrotters play one more game in Philadelphia this year, on Saturday at the Wells Fargo Center.
