WATCH: Boys Rescued After Falling Through Ice

Philly Fire News reports: “Three boys playing ice hockey on a frozen retention basin fell through thin ice in Chalfont. One boy was able to get out of the water on his own. However, two boys were stuck on a drainage gate about 40 feet from shore. Fire officials requested a Dive Rescue team to assist and a medical helicopter was placed on stand-by. Crews donned cold water gear and used an inflatable boat to rescue the two boys.”

All three were taken to the hospital, but there were no serious injuries.
