Police Search for Suspect In Center City Groping

Police say that a young woman had a scary experience on Black Friday in Center City thanks to the man seen here, who is wanted for indecent assault.

The incident took place Friday around 7:35 p.m. in the SEPTA station at 15th and Market streets. According to police, a 27-year-old woman was followed by the man in the photo above. Eventually, the man allegedly groped the woman, then ran away.

Police describe the man as follows: “Black male, 5’7″, 130 lbs, wearing a coat, and a black ‘scully.'” (We assume they mean skully, as in the hat on his head.)

The surveillance video (above) shows the suspect following closely behind the woman, who has her hands full with a purse, bag and cell phone. He is then seen fleeing back up the steps.
