Morey’s Pier Hit By Thieves and Vandals
The North Wildwood Police Department has released surveillance photos of three suspects wanted for theft and vandalism that occurred at Morey’s Pier in Wildwood.
According to police, the three guys seen here hit the popular pier at 25th and Boardwalk back on July 11th, stealing a $2,400 cash register and vandalizing a $300 surveillance camera.
North Wildwood Police released these photos on Monday night via their Facebook page. As of Tuesday morning, they had already received a few credible leads, says Captain John Stevenson. “Our detectives are right now following up on them,” he adds.
Some Facebook comments on the photo release:
Looks like they all posed for the cameras ….big dummy’s
Great pics. These dumb-dumbs should be identified by morning.
Feel bad for their parents. I’m sure they see this in their news feed as well. Hopefully they do the right thing and turn them in so they can learn their lesson! Also, they can thank Moreys pier for the complimentary pictures, it’s usually extra after the rides.
Wow.. they all looked right at the camera too. Idiots. I sure hope they get caught.
Police describe the suspects as white males between 16 and 20 years old. One was wearing cargo shorts and a white shirt bearing the Nike “Swoosh” logo. Another wore glasses and a darker shirt with some sort of graphic on the front. And the third suspect appears to be bigger than the others and may have facial hair. (To us, it looks like he’s wearing a Rocawear shirt.)
Anyone with information is being asked to call North Wildwood Police at 609-522-2411.
