Borgata Launches Major LGBT Initiative With a Celebration Weekend
If you’re looking for a gay getaway, Atlantic City’s Borgata and Water Club are rolling out the rainbow carpet … literally. The luxury resort, which features a casino, two hotels, and multiple spas, is launching an OUT at Borgata initiative, and they’ve got a killer March party planned with headline entertainment all weekend long.
The three-day bender kicks off on Friday, March 13th with Sarah McLachlan rocking the AC resort starting at 8 p.m., followed by an exclusive OUT at Borgata party at the swanky MIXX nightclub. The following day, everyone’s favorite red-head comedienne Kathy Griffin takes to the stage for an 8 p.m. show. In between the fun, guests can enjoy the pools, awesome spas (trust me on this one: Immersion Spa is one of the best around), great eateries (I particularly like the Tavern at Wolfgang Puck American Grille), shops, and, of course, slots and table games.
It’s part of an ongoing commitment Borgata has to the LGBT community, according to Liza Costandino, the resort’s public relations manager. “Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa proudly supports diversity and embraces the LGBT community: our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender travel enthusiasts, team members, and friends,” she said. “In addition to working to ensure Borgata meets the criteria of the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index 2016, Borgata is thrilled to partner with the Greater Atlantic City GLBT Alliance and the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association, among other organizations.”
In addition to entertainment, the resort is proud to offer a number of wedding and honeymoon packages for newly married gay couples, plus an OUT at Borgata hotel package coming soon.
Also coming soon: This summer, Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett will be bringing down the house with a one-night only concert on July 24th. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m.
For more information on OUT at Borgata, you can “Like” their new Facebook page, and stay tuned for a brand new website that details the resort’s LGBT initiative soon.
